WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks and suites for API, web, mobile, and performance testing.
- Design test strategies and plans that ensure high quality across the Kadence’s software stack.
- Implement end-to-end test automation and maintain robust coverage across key user flows.
- Execute test cases (manual and automated), analyse results, and clearly report bugs and errors.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, QA, product, design to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical discussions and help shape our approach to quality engineering.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and provide clear defect documentation.
- Conduct post-release and regression testing to ensure ongoing stability.
- Create and maintain internal documentation for testing processes and frameworks.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer with a focus on API, end-to-end (E2E), and performance testing.
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling automated testing frameworks for APIs, frontend, and mobile.
- Strong hands-on experience with tools such as Cypress or Playwright (E2E), Postman (API), and load/performance tools like k6, JMeter, or equivalent.
- Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks across web, mobile, and API layers.
- Ability to develop and execute robust test plans that cover real-world user journeys and edge cases.
- Proficiency in working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and integrating test automation into build and release workflows.
- Strong understanding of Agile development and the role of testing throughout the sprint lifecycle.
- Comfort with writing clear, testable acceptance criteria using Gherkin or similar syntax.
- Excellent debugging, investigation, and root-cause analysis skills.
- A collaborative, detail-oriented mindset and strong communication across teams.
- BSc in a related field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other software/design discipline.

- Frontend: TypeScript, Angular 19.
- Mobile: Android (Kotlin), iOS (Swift).
- Desktop: Cross platform desktop app built with Electron (TypeScript).
- Database: MySQL (Aurora DB), Redis (ElastiCache), MongoDB (AWS DocumentDB).
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS (20+ services), Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform), CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Observability (AWS, Grafana).
- Development tools: GitHub, Jira, Notion, ChatGPT, Gemini, LangChain, AI-native IDE's (Cursor, JetBrains), LLM-powered internal tools.
- Test automation: Cypress (E2E), Postman (API), Jest (frontend unit), PHPUnit (backend unit), JUnit (Android), XCTest (iOS).
